Torresilo 2016

The highest quality of a ripe-harvested red wine from Spain made from the classic Tempranillo grape, often with Cabernet Sauvignon and with plenty of wood aging. Accessible, rich, good complexity, quite powerful. Lots of fruit with great wood tannins, sometimes with a hint of vanilla from the aging in American oak. Standard annually well over 92+ Parker points. 93 WA, only 'Ribera del Duero' gold medal at the IWC

Cillar de Silos Torresilo Cilar de Silos Ribera del Duero 2016

A dark intense cherry red, it's clean and brilliant with intense complex aromas. Allow the wine to open up and breathe to get the best of its ripe dark fruits (plums), spices (nutmeg) and balsamic notes intertwined with soft toasted aromas. On the palate it is deep, silky, well balanced with a good body with ripe fruits and minerality. Long lingering with an excellent acidity, pure silk mature tannins which will smooth out in time.
