Description of Portia Roble 2018
Portia Roble 2018 (Tempranillo)
TASTING NOTES:
- View: Deep ruby color with purple reflections.
- Nose: Intense aromas of ripe fruit, with hints of vanilla, spices and toasted wood.
- Mouth: balanced, dense, full, fleshy, with silky tannins and fruit flavors. long and burnished finish.
APPELLATION: Ribera del Duero.
VINEYARD: Bodegas Portia.
GRAPES: Tempranillo.
AGEING: 4 months in French oak barrels.
PREPARATION: The grapes are harvested manually and taken to warehouses to be subjected to a stripping process. maceration of the grapes with the skins is performed for 4 days, and then be pressed smoothly. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures of 26 °C, then malolactic fermentation performed before the ripening process.
PAIRING: Red meats, snacks, roasts, game meat, poultry, sausages, mushrooms creams, mature cheeses.
RECOMMENDED TEMPERATURE SERVICE: 12-14 °C
