Pesquera Crianza 2016 (Tempranillo)

TASTING NOTES:

  • View: cherry, purple rim.
  • Nose: ripe black fruit, blackberries and plums, spicy, aromatic hints of vanilla and licorice.
  • Mouth: powerful, rounded, silky tannins clean, fresh varietal, smoky, one impecablem wood, very pleasant, fruity aftertaste, predominance of blackberries, licorice and a final spicy touch.

APPELLATION: Ribera del Duero.

VINEYARD: located within the municipality of Pesquera de Duero, facing south at an altitude of over 800 meters. Area: 200 hectares in total. average age 25 years, sandy loam soil.

GRAPES: 100% Tempranillo.

AGEING: 18 months in American oak barrels. Rest for 6 months in bottle before release.

PREPARATION: traditional production with stripping and subsequent fermentation in stainless steel tanks.

PAIRING: pork cheeks in sauce.

TEMPERATURE: 16 °C
