Finca los Hoyales 2014, prepared by the Bodega Cruz de Alaba in Ribera del Duero, is a very special wine. A wine to which the winemaker Sergio Avila has spent much time but mostly a lot of passion.
The label tells a story and philosophy. The image of hands ... are not any hands. They are oenologist, a day teaching the land parcel to your computer. The result of much work and working in biodynamics, agrohomeopatía and dowsing. The label is organic cotton and hands with this humble gesture, offers us as if there were no intermediaries, wine, direct from the vine to us. 91/100

  • View: It is intense cherry red color with purple hues.
  • Nose: Complex, with aromas of ripe black fruit, with hints of spices such as cinnamon and fresh hints of mint. With subtle balsamic and touches of wood.

APPELLATION: Ribera del Duero

VINEYARD: Bodegas Cruz de Alba. Its vineyards have their beginnings in 1963, at a height of seven meters above sea level, planted on very poor sandy loam soils. GRAPES: Tempranillo.

AGEING: the aging process is carried out for 22 months without racking, in barrels on the lees, with soft paper removed. After being bottled unfiltered, it remains at rest for 10 additional months.

PREPARATION: vintage 100% Tempranillo grapes is done in manually from vines more than 50 years old. The selection of the grapes is made from the vineyard and then in the winery, we proceed to its gentle stripping. Fermentation is carried out in oak barrels with the system thirds barrels and two uses. Malolactic fermentation is done in new French oak barrels. Its production is low, ensuring quality and care. Cruz de Alba Finca los Hoyales Crianza 2014 it is a wine that keeps its aesthetic its traditional character and sealed. Its fabric labels are made by hand, one by one.
