BODEGA: Domain Atauta
We are in the Valley Atauta in Soria, almost at the eastern boundary of the Ribera del Duero. Domain Atauta is built in four heights on rock and totally gravity (to avoid unnecessary pumping), on a slope of the valley, surrounded by vineyards, 7 km south of the town of San Esteban de Gormaz, through which the Duero. One of the peculiarities of Atauta is the altitude at which the vineyard is located between 950 and 1000 meters above sea level, giving it a slower ripening of the grapes. Nice cherry red color with a violet rim tap well covered. On the nose, it does not take long to open with a compass of ripe red and black fruit such as cherries, plums, strawberries, balsamic infusion of herbs, violets, subtle creamy, spicy, smoky, deep hints of wet stone are perceived . The palate is fleshy, with good acidity, well balanced, fresh, red and black fruits with strawberries, plums, cherries in liqueur and some arrears, creamy touches lightly toasted well at the bottom, finishing very outfitted with fruit in the foreground well accompanied with hints of balsamic and parenting. Medium persistence.
PAIRING: Ideal with steak, ribeye, sirloin, chicken with mushrooms, red meats, game meats.
