Corimbo 2008 (Tinta del País)

TASTING NOTES:

  • View: Wine matures with trim cherry colour of cardinals, well covered, clean, bright and fine tear.
  • Nose: The nose with medium intensity, ripe fruit, a little closed to pricipio, I decide it through the Vinturi and shows evolution to raspberries and blackberries, with little notes of caramel.
  • Palate: The soft palate, fruity, full-bodied, good acidity, balanced with rugged tannins and tasty.

Aftertaste, raspberry jam.

Long aftertaste and good.

GRAPES: 100% Tinta del Pais

Corimbo 2008

It goes on light Corimbo 2008, the first vintage of the new Bank of Bodegas Roda. The two wineries share philosophy and way of understanding wine hence the name of the first wine cellars The Horrocks is intrinsically linked to Roda. Corimbo is a Ribera del Duero Tempranillo aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and American

It has a very nice colour. Especially noticeable smoky aromas in this Bodegas La Horra. Taste of blackberries and wild fruits.
I enjoyed with the beef I accompained it.
We order it in a supper with working colleagues.
We have bought it at an on-line Shop that is now closed.
The best of Bodegas La Horra.

Corimbo is a tempranillo from Ribera del Duero aged for 12 months in French and American oak.

Deep red garnet and red background with purple edging notes, it is a wine with a very expressive and intense aroma with marked fruity character above the wood, almost imperceptible. In red and black fruit nose is in the line of cherry and blackberry, and a feeling of freshness is seen with light spicy notes in the line of freshly ground black pepper. Minerals also brings memories bring to mind the smell of fresh roots from the earth. The taste is full, enveloping, without valleys, with great feel and fruity freshness. The perceived nuances in nose appear, dominates the game of red and black fruit, but also arises the mineral character and fine spicy, while again feel retronasal aromas.

Also, the tannin is present with good quality, marking wine youth, along with good acidity, which gives a pleasant coolness attached to the feeling of fullness. In short, a Bank with race and personality, very friendly and enjoy ....

Corimbo 2008, leaving the market with an initial production of 40,000 bottles-estimated reach 76,000 next year, is a 100% ink of the country, the result of sustainable viticulture with vineyards in glass environment The Horrocks and Roa (Burgos) . The predominantly continental climate with considerable temperature difference between day and night, characteristic of the DO Ribera del Duero, marks the character of this wine, very aromatic, more racial, fruity and fresh.

Corimbo 2013 represents well the DO Ribera del Duero, a spicy wine with a silky texture, a good mouthfeel. Even young tannins has been melted but it is a very elegant wine. 90/100
