You will like to know that…

As Vega Sicilia itself describes it, Alion 2014 this is "a wine born to make history" and a "wine of pioneering, independent and contemporary character fruit of the evolution of a famous family of great wines ".

The point is that the "little brother" of Vega Sicilia is no longer a wine that grows in the shadow of his legendary brother, but that he himself has fledged o become a contemporary classic, a renowned wine, distinguished and praised thanks to the authenticity of its temperament.

For its part, the 2014 vintage embodies the bounties offered to Ribera del Duero, giving us a silky, voluptuous, jammy wine, without falling into excesses. It will benefit from a longer time in the bottle and will evolve well.

This vintage has produced 284,284 bottles and 6,500 Magnums, wine gems that will allow us to enjoy, more than ever, a wine of "universal spirit with a vocation for the future".

Reviews of other vintages of Alión 201420162015

4/5

A bright deep red color with streaks of violet. Full and elegant on the nose, with a wide range of aromas, such as vanilla, ripe fruits, compote and syrups. The palate is opulent and elegant with harmonious tannins providing a subtle backbone to the wine; great aromatic persistence in the mouth. Designed to drink well on release, the tannins will nevertheless support at least 10 years further ageing.
