Vel'Uveyra Mencia 2016 (Mencía)
- View: cherry red, violet trim.
- Nose: aromatically subtle and intense with wild berries, blackberry, dried violet flowers.
- Mouth: fresh, tasty, with integrated acidity and all very pleasant.
APPELLATION: Ribeira Sacra.
VINEYARD: mostly granitic soils with areas of metamorphic soils.
GRAPES: 85% Mencia, Grenache Tintorera 10%, 5% Negreda (Mouratón).
AGEING: Aged carried out in these oak vats of 5,500 l. and small parts in French oak barrels for several uses.
PREPARATION: spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in oak vats of 5,500 l.
PAIRING: vegetable stews, beans and octopus "a feira", pork with turnip tops and casseroles. Cecina, hunting, tripe, grilled meat.
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 12.5%
