Zárate Caiño 2010 (Caiño Tinto and Caiño)
TASTING NOTES:
- View: Zárate Caiño 2010 has a red cherry, red-garnet rim, base coat and thin almost imperceptible tear.
- Nose: Aromas of ripe red fruit (plums and some cherries), licorosas notes (Grand Marnier, which highlights some touches of orange peel), soft notes of toasted oak, spiced with intense predominance Beads red pepper and nutmeg, refreshing menthol and some red licorice, light touches on your litter and rustic profile with hints of damp earth are perceived.
- Mouth: good entrance with an initial smooth and well licorice astringency that lightens your path in the mouth with a bit of nerve, medium body and a marked toasted oak that need polish, spicy, mild balsamic freshening set , good acidity, broad, smooth finish that gives amargosidad persistence. Final medium-long aftertaste of ripe fruit and liquor aftertaste.
WINEMAKING: The wine undergoes 12 months aging in French oak barrels where third year the malolactic fermentation. The wine was bottled without filtration or clarification in February 2012.

In the hands of the family Zárate His beginnings one of the oldest and most traditional cellars of Albariño from Rías Baixas Denomination of Origin. Located in a small, secluded valley farm Salnes took three generations of dedication to the care of the vines and the production of Albariño, keeping a past that becomes legitimate heirs of one of the oldest traditions. It is the respect that the family has held for the past and the legacy of its congeners, which makes this winery Salnes an intimate, unique and full of memories corner.
