Elaboration of Mar de Frades 2012
Mar de Frades 2012 (Albariño)
Frades Sea was founded in 1987 and its trajectory is parallel to that of the Denomination of Origin Rias Baixas.
It is a pioneering winery in the area and represents the interpretation of the more established tradition of Val do Salnes, historic capital of Albariño.
This is where the legend began varietal Albariño wines and where, no doubt, there are more sophisticated white wines and suggestive of Spain, characterized by their freshness and aromatic intensity.
A sea that is wine. Frades Sea, Galician term for "Sea of the Friars" is also the name of a place in the Arosa estuary near the mouth of the river Umia, where the pilgrims landed in the sea route the Camino de Santiago.
This wine is leaning out of the sea, because from our winery and vineyard can see the sea enclave Frades.
