VINEYARD: Acacia Tree is named for the tree that commonly grows in Western Cape, South Africa, where the winery's grapes are grown. Acacia trees have deep roots to reach underground water in order to prosper in this hot climate. Grapes grown in Western Cape learn to thrive in this heat and consistently produce some of the most sophisticated grapes in the world. The Chenin Blanc variety is the most common grape in South Africa, having been introduced by the Dutch East India Company. Chenin Blanc is frequently used in wine blends because of its high sugar levels.
