Reviews of other vintages of Benguela Cove Backbone Rosé 201802020

Benguela Cove is situated in the Walker Bay sub-region, just an hour from Cape Town International Airport. Poised on the edge of the Bot River Lagoon, the area is teeming with bird life and natural fauna and flora with the Atlantic Ocean gracing the horizon. The estate, which has 70-hectares of vines, was purchased by entrepreneur Penny Streeter OBE in 2013. The estate has been rewarded for its craftsmanship, led by experienced cellar master Johann Fourie. Their Backbone Rosé is vibrant with light salmon pink tones and features gentle aromas of apple, strawberry, rhubarb and fresh almonds. A cracking, easy drinking rosé!
Robin Kick MW says "Côtes de Provence-styled rosés have become incredibly popular in the last few years. They tend to be fresh and have a focus beyond red fruits dipping its toe in the citrus and orchard fruit realm. Benguela Cove has tapped into this style well."
