APPELLATION: Delle Venezie (IGT).
VINEYARD: House Belfi. It is located in the town of San Polo di Piave, in the province of Treviso, in the central area of Italy. The vineyard has 9 hectares and its production methods are handmade. The project of its founders Albino Armani and Maurizio Donadi is to restore the ancient wine-making traditions of Treviso.
GRAPES: Incrocio Manzoni and Chardonnay.
AGEING: In stainless steel tanks and amphorae along with its fine lees for several months.
DEVELOPMENT: The grapes harvested the first days of September. The steeping process lasts three days, then pressed and the must continues its fermentation with yeasts in suspension. They overwinter tanks outside the warehouse to stimulate natural tartaric stability at low temperatures. The wine is bottled without prior filtration.
WINE PAIRING: Perfect to eat with fish stew, steamed shellfish, fresh cheeses and risotto.
