VINEYARD: Tenuta San Guido is located on the Etruscan coast between Livorno and Grosseto, in the Maremma, ranging from the sea from behind the hills. The vineyards are located at an altitude of between 100 and 300 meters s.l.m. south / southwest.
GRAPES: Cabernet Sauvignon 70% and 30% Sangiovese
AGEING: fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature (29-30 °C). Macerate for 10-13 days for the Cabernet Sauvignon and for about 13-15 days for the Sangiovese. Steel malolactic fermentation. Aging 8 months in barrels of French and American oak. three months in the bottle. Recommended consumption: 1-6 years.
ELABORATION land area Bolgheri has different morphological characteristics, with a strong presence of areas rich limestone clay and stones and partly clay. 2017 was a very dry year, both during the winter and spring. Summer arrived early, had temperatures often above the seasonal average. The climate of jumping ahead of maturity, but will not prevent qualitative results.
