Marchesi de Frescobaldi Toscana Mormoreto Castello di Nipozzano 2016 (Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Sangiovese)
TASTING NOTES:
- View: ruby, violet reflections
- Nose: fruity notes of cranberry and black cherry, followed by notes of iodine, cinchona and nice touches balsamic eucalyptus and mint. A slightly spicy cardamom.
- Mouth: silky and velvety tannins remarkable and excellent structure. Final long and persistent, with hints of iodine and balsamic nuances.
APPELLATION: Tuscany.
GRAPES: 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc 26%, Merlot 5%, Petit Verdot 5%.
AGEING: after malolactic fermentation, the wine aged in oak barrels, partly new and partly used for 24 months, then aged in bottle for at the least 6 months.
PREPARATION: grapes hand harvested between late September and early October. Grapes fermented in stainless steel at a temperature below 35 ° C for about 15 days and each variety separately vinifica and macerated for 35 days in steel, stay in the skins for 20 days.
WINE PAIRING: red and white dishes long cooking meats such as braised, stewed and overcooked, ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 18-20 ℃
