TASTING NOTES:

  • View: D'Arenberg The Peppermint Paddock Sparkling Chambourcin has a profound aspect of vibrant mousse black crimson purple with a persistent strand that can only be described as a "ring of pearls". A rare and wonderful sight in the sparkling wine.
  • Nose: The aroma is dry. Dominated by the freshness of violet, rhubarb, herbs and then the intensity of raspberries and black currants and a touch of leaves.
  • Mouth: The palate is concentrated, dry and totally refreshing. A beautiful creamy mousse reaches the end dwells. The end of the final wine has a lighter character body as it is lower in alcohol than previous Peppermint Paddocks, but clearly more satisfactory. The finish is dry and sharp, with integrated tannins and balanced with liquor dosage and acidity.

D'Arenberg The Peppermint Paddock Red Sparkling Chambourcin

Upon release this wine exhibits a deep appearance of vibrant black, crimson-purple mousse with a fine persistent bead that looks simply inviting. The aroma is initially restrained but as it opens up the level of fruit richness and concentration becomes quite obvious. The aromas are dry, dominated with a mix of liquorice and spiced plum pudding notes with a sweet seductive array of small red berries such as mulberries and raspberries. As the wine further opens up really super concentrated red fruit characters develop such as maraschino cherry, prune juice and boysenberry. The palate is cool, rich and dry and extremely refreshing with an abundant red fruit flavours, mixed with dried herb notes and edges of tarry tannins and mineral-like acidity. The finish is dry but with plenty of strong red fruit flavours that linger for some time, which is just what a wine with this sort of concentration should have.

D'Arenberg The Peppermint Paddock Sparkling Chambourcin

- Sparkling specialty of d'Arenberg
- Red sparkling wines are extremely popular in Australia, especially Sparkling Shiraz
- When d'Arenberg, however, it relies on the grape Chambourcin that the Frenchman Joannes Seyve mid-20
- Century bred
- It produces a dark, aromatic, racy red wine, can be made which produce sparkling wines with enticing independence
- So the Peppermint Paddock then also comes with plenty of dark berry and cherry fruit and hints of spice and licorice into the glass
- Very delightful is the interplay of ripe fruit, racy freshness and a hint of tannin
- Allergens: contains sulfites

D'Arenberg The Peppermint Paddock Sparkling Chambourcin

A beautiful, intense champagne from Australia. The The Peppermint Paddock Sparkling Chambourcin is sparkling and already in the glass a true feast for the eyes: Dark fluent puts the bubbles the color of the wine in attractive violet shimmer. The nose is flooded with dense aromas reminiscent of black currants and raspberries. On the palate the Peppermint Paddock of d Arenberg looks dry and semi-dry. The tannins and acidity are very self conscious while sweet fruit flavors complement the experience of pleasure.
