Discover More About Our Products
To most people, the name San Marzano brings to mind the juicy tomatoes that have made this delightful town in Salento famous. San Marzano, however, is much more than that: it is the name of one of Italy's most thriving wineries.
Among the San Marzano Cellars' favourite and most popular wines is the Collezione Cinquanta Vino Rosso d'Italia. To produce this top-notch red wine, the grapes are hand-picked when slightly overripe. The blend includes red grape varieties typical of the area, such as Primitivo and Negramaro.
Collezione Cinquanta has a marvellous ruby red colour, intense and brilliant, with wonderful purple reflections. The bouquet that oozes from the glass is just as intense as the land that creates it, with a blend of scents that includes ripe plum, vanilla and liquorice. In the mouth, the wine offers a splendid softness and a very pleasant persistence.
A truly extraordinary product, also excellent as a meditation wine, which goes perfectly with hearty red meat and game dishes.

San Marzano

San Marzano is a leading wine producer from the region of Puglia, in the heel of Italy’s boot. The story began in 1962, when 19 vine growers from the village of San Marzano, whose families had farmed the land for generations, came together to follow their dream and founded Cantine San Marzano. Throughout the decades it has grown significantly and now attracts over 1,200 top-quality vine growers.
