As the name might suggest, the Anniversario 62 Primitivo di Manduria DOP Riserva is a tribute to the year of Cantine San Marzano's founding - 1962.
The wine is made from 100% Primitivo grapes grown in selected, very ancient vineyards in the municipalities of San Marzano and Sava, characterised by red soil rich in iron oxides and calcareous substrate. Moreover, this red wine ages for 18 months in barriques of fine French and American woods. The result is an elegant and complex wine, with juicy fruit aromas enriched by elegant spicy nuances. Warm, soft and rich in noble tannins, it is perfect to pair with meats, but also to drink alone as a meditation wine.
