Moncaro Marche Trebbiano 2018
Description of Moncaro Marche Trebbiano 2017
Moncaro Marche Trebbiano 2017 (Trebbiano)
- View: Light lemon yellow with greenish flints
- Nose: A pleasantly fresh bouquet of citrus, white flowers, and fresh-picked orchard apples
- Mouth: Light on the palate with refreshingly crisp acidity, an unmistakeable Trebbiano. Crisp notes of lemon, elderflower, pear, and green apple melt into a clean and medium-long finish.
VINEYARD: Moncaro. The Trebbiano and Verdicchio grapes come from Moncaro's Montecarotto vineyard, which is 323 hectares at the foothills of the Castelli di Jesi in Marche, Italy. The soil is primarily sandy and clay, with plenty of nutrients. The warm sea breezes give this area the perfect summer temperature for growing white grapes.
GRAPES: 85% Trebbiano and 15% Verdicchio.
AGEING: Aged for 2 months.
PREPARATION: Moncaro processes grapes from the same vineyard together, and always uses very careful vinification techniques to bring out the full potential of the grape varieties. After arriving at the cellar, which is located very near the vineyards, the grapes are softly pressed in a pneumatic press. The mixture is then fermented with selected yeasts in temperature-controlled steel tanks.
PAIRING: This light and fresh wine is extremely versatile, but pairs especially well with poultry, fish, and seafood.
RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 9-11ºC
