You will like to know that…

The Alentejo - literally "beyond the Tagus River" - is the wine region that runs from Lisbon south to the Algarve region. It is often referred to as 'Portugal's California'.

This is where the Portuguese white wine Monte Velho Branco 2018, a fresh, fruity wine comes from, offering scents of cool tropical fruit. In the mouth, it turns out to be dry and soft, with touches of delicious pear and melon. Thanks to its beautiful minerality, it is an excellent accompaniment for fish dishes, seafood and pasta, but also for dishes based on pork and vegetarian dishes.

for the price, this is an excellent, easy-drinking white wine. discovered by my wife when on holiday in the Algarve a couple of years ago. this would be the third shipment we have had to date. hopefully more to come.
if I am brutally honest we enjoyed 2016 slightly more than 2017 but will look forward to 2018 with relish.
