TASTING NOTES:

  • View: deep red.
  • Nose: traces of ripe red fruits, jam and chocolate.
  • Mouth: intense and prolonged aftertaste.

APPELLATION: Alentejo.

GRAPES: Aragonez, Trincadeira, Alicante Bouschet and Alfrocheiro.

AGEING: 12 months in French oak barrels of 500 liters.

PREPARATION: grapes harvested by hand and transported into the hold, where the transformation process begins with wine in stainless steel at a controlled temperature and fermentative 21 days post maceration.

Herdade do Sobroso Barrique Select 2016

A red that pairs well with moussaka. Me and my clients from Alentejo tasted it together.
Ripe cherry colour, medium opacity. Smell of gooseberries. It shows a taste of raspberry and strawberry.
