- Nose: This wine gives off a fruity scent, melding the flavours of Touriga Nacional grapes and dark red berries. Hints of vanilla and woody spices can also be detected.
- Mouth: Touriga Nacional wine is famous for being a full-bodied red wine. It has high tannins and moderately high acidity levels. It's most famous for its fruity flavours, namely those of berries. A taste of dark berries, including blueberries, prevail. Accenting flavours of violet and an oaky spice accompany the fruity flavours.
VINEYARD: The Adega Mayor vineyard is located in the Alentejo region of Portugal. This is near the border of Spain. This terraced vineyard is spread over 350 hectares.
