Description of Joseph Drouhin Puligny Montrachet 2016

Joseph Drouhin Puligny Montrachet 2016 (Chardonnay)

A wine of great finesse, distinguished and elegant. The color is pure and bright, with light reflections white gold.

The aromas evoke trees in bloom and white flesh fruit, like white peaches. With age, the aromas evolve into

almond and lightly grilled dried fruit. On the palate, there is a sense of cool silkiness. Long and persistent

the aftertaste, ending on an exceptional wealth of flavors, both floral and fruity.

This is the central part of the Côte de Beaune that is the beautiful name of Puligny-Montrachet, famous worldwide for its white wines. Maison Joseph Drouhin works this term partner with passionate winemakers who share their quest for quality and authenticity. This wine has aged in oak barrels, 25% during 12 months. Cru of great nobility and great complexity, Puligny-Montrachet has a very good aging potential that allows it cellared up to twenty years.

The 2011 vintage of Puligny-Montrachet from Maison Joseph Drouhin is adorned with a brilliant golden yellow color, tinged with light flashes. Of great elegance, aromatic bouquet opens with notes of ripe white fruit such as pear or peach, and sweet floral notes. The opening reveals dried fruit aromas, hazelnut, almond, which increase with time. On the palate, this Puligny Montrachet 2011 offers us a pleasant feeling of freshness and intensity. The acidity is under control, balance is air and elegant.

It smelled of orange, lime, lemon, ... It wasn't at its optimal service temperature, it would have tasted better if so.
No doubt I would recommend Joseph Drouhin Puligny-Montrachet 100%.
