Val D'Oca Prosecco Millesimato Blu Extra Dry
- View: The Val D'Oca Prosecco Millesimato Blu Extra Dry is a light golden white wine sparkled with fizzing bubbles throughout each bottle and glass.
- Nose: The scent of the Glera grapes mingle with that of bright citrus fruits and a soft floral aroma. The effervescent bubbles tickle the nose, adding extra a sensation of extra crispness.
- Mouth: This dry white wine has light notes of citrus fruits as well as a slight peachy flavour, layered with hints of rose and wisteria flowers. The highly acidic Glera grapes add zest to the sparkling bubbles that run across the tongue with every sip.
APPELLATION: Prosecco Veneto
VINEYARD: The Cantina Produttori di Valdobbiadene, also known as Valdobbiadene Producers, is located in Valdobbiadene, Italy. This area is on average 247 m above sea level. Owned by over 500 members, this vineyard is spread over 714 hectares. Over 90% of the grapes grown here are Glera.
GRAPES: 100% Glera
AGEING: Due to the grapes being processed via the Charmant method, they are aged for a minimum of six months.
PREPARATION: The Val D'Oca Prosecco Millesimato Blu Extra Dry is made entirely out of Glera grapes from the Veneto region of Italy. The grapes are harvested beginning in September. Once their sugar and acid levels are ascertained, the grapes are pressed, the dregs are separated, and what remains is fermented. The grapes are first vinified in stainless steel vats and then fermented a second time using the Charmat method.
PAIRING: Seafood, pork, and light savoury appetizers.
RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 6-8°C
