The Prosecco di Conegliano Valdobbiadene or Prosecco di Conegliano or Prosecco di Valdobbiadene DOC, which can be found with any of these denominations, is produced on the hills that go from Conegliano, in Treviso, to Valdobbiadene in the vine-growing region of Véneto, on thePiave River, very near the Venetian Gulf. This is one of the 17 wine-producing shires in the East of Italy, South of Friuli-Venetia Julia.
In the Prosecco di Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOC the grapes of the same name are cultivated, that is, Conegliano and Valdobbiadene varieties, apart from the Verdiso, Pinot Bianco and Pinot Grigio.
The same wines, but produced in Cartizze, obtain the label DOC Superiore di Cartizze. Both wines are produced in two varieties, Frizzante and Sparkling.
