TASTING NOTES OF Scala Dei Prior Criança 2015:

View: clean and bright, intense ruby, garnet hues.
Nose: intense and persistent aromas of red fruits, strawberry jam, violets, plum and spicy aromas of vanilla, pepper and toasted notes.
Mouth: full-bodied, soft, ripe tannins and persistent, mineral aromas.

APPELLATION: Priorat.

GRAPES: Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache Noir, Syrah.

PAIRING: casseroles, stews, cheeses, Camembert or creamy, especially with quality sausages, meats and barbecues.

ALCOHOL CONTENT: 15%

Ese vino está elaborado con las variedades históricas priooratinas Garnacha, Cariñena, Syrah y Cabernet Sauvignon. La Garnacha y la Cariñena proceden de viñedos viejos de entre 35 y 60 años plantados en terrazas de licorella de entre 500 y 800 metros de altitud. La vendimia es manual. Se escogen viñedos ubicados en terrazas diferentes y ello permite obtener una riqueza de matices una vez se vinifican por separada todas las variedades en la bodega. Todas las uvas pasan por la mesa de selección. Una vez finalizada la fermentación alcohólica, el vino pasó a barrica donde tuvo lugar la fermentación maloláctica. La crianza en barricas seleccionadas mayoritariamente de roble francés, todas nuevas y de un solo uso. Luego hizo una crianza en botella de un año. Este vino evolucionará favorablemente durante los próximos 7-10 años almacenado en condiciones adecuadas.

Questo vino è fatto con priooratinas varietà storiche Garnacha, Carignan, Syrah e Cabernet Sauvignon. Carignan Grenache e viene da vecchie vigne tra i 35 ei 60 anni licorella piantati su terrazze tra 500 e 800 metri. La raccolta è manuale. vigneti situati in diverse terrazze vengono scelti e questo permette una ricchezza di sfumature, una volta vinificata separatamente tutte le varietà in cantina. Tutte le uve passano attraverso la tabella di selezione. Dopo la fermentazione alcolica, il vino è andato a botte in cui la fermentazione malolattica ha avuto luogo. L'affinamento in selezionate barriques di rovere francese per lo più tutti i nuovi e monouso. Poi fatto un affinamento in bottiglia di un anno. Questo vino si evolverà positivamente nel corso dei prossimi 7-10 anni se conservato in condizioni adeguate.

This wine is made with priooratinas historical varieties Garnacha, Carignan, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Carignan Grenache and comes from old vines between 35 and 60 years licorella planted on terraces between 500 and 800 meters. The harvest is manual. vineyards located in different terraces are chosen and this allows a wealth of nuances once vinified separately all varieties in the cellar. All the grapes go through the selection table. After the alcoholic fermentation, the wine went to barrel where malolactic fermentation took place. Aging in selected French oak barrels mostly all new and single use. Then made a bottle aging a year. This wine will evolve favorably over the next 7-10 years when stored under appropriate conditions.

Bright cherry colour, high layer. Toasty and tobacco aromas. Very light and complex.
The best one to enjoy it with a good serrano ham.
I celebrated a special occasion with Scala Dei Prior and my partner.

Me and my clients from Priorat have taste it together.
Red with violet edges. Toffee notes can be appreciated. It improved with a little more coldness.
It pairs good with a strong flavoured fish.

A red Bordeaux Cabernet Sauvignon. Has aroma of cherry and red fruit. BlueBerry flavour.
We drank it just like that, without food to accompany.
I usually preserve Scala-Dei Prior Crianza for special people.
