Clos Mogador is René Barbier's cellar, one of the biggest names in the D.O. Priorat. Description of Nelin 2013

Nelin 2013 (Garnacha, Garnacha blanca, Macabeo, Marsanne, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Roussanne and Viognier)

TASTING NOTES OF Nelin 2013:

  • View: intense yellow with golden hues.
  • Nose: Intense and very nice. Mineral notes and characteristics of the barrel with floral notes. Presence of fruity memories.
  • Mouth: Fresh and round. Herbaceous memories and presence of fruity notes and barrrica. It's a long wine.

APPELLATION: Priorat

VINEYARD: Clos Mogador

GRAPES: White Grenache, Macabeo, Viognier and Escanyavella

AGEING: 16 months in large wooden tanks 1200 liter and 600 liter concrete

PREPARATION: The harvest is done manually in small boxes of 10Kg, taking advantage of low temperatures early in the morning to prevent oxidation in the grape.

Once in the winery, 90% of the grapes are pressed and the must is separated. The rest of the grapes is macerated for 12 hours before pressing. Nelin is fermented with indigenous yeast own vineyard in barrels and oak vats. Fermentation at a controlled temperature of 16-18 °C 4-5 weeks lengthens.
