TASTING NOTES:

VINEYARD: Merum Priorati. This winery is located in the town of Porrera in the Priorat, Tarragona province, south of Catalonia. The vineyards have an area of ​​102 hectares of hilly and rocky terrain, poor in organic matter and good depth, which helps plantations extend up to 15 meters for water to support the long summers. The climate is Mediterranean and continental.

GRAPES: Grenache Noir (65%), Carignan (15%), Syrah (10%), Cabernet Sauvignon (10%)

AGEING: Maturing in French oak barrels of 225 liters for 12 to 14 months.

PREPARATION: Manual harvest where the clusters are deposited in small boxes up to 20 kg. Once destemmed grapes are subjected to a process of maceration and fermentation for a period of three weeks in stainless steel tanks. The resulting wort is gently pressed and then move to the malolactic fermentation. Finally the mixture is varietal and bottled.
