Álvaro Palacios

Álvaro Palacios

Alvaro Palacios Priorat reaches in 1989, the town of Gratallops, along with Rene Barbier, Carles Pastrana and José Luis Pérez, with the intention to transmit to their wines (Bodegas Alvaro Palacios) the character of this land. They believed in the Priorat, full of sharp essences of Mediterranean sunshine, cliffs and shale, fennel and olive groves, a land of mystical soul.

4/5

Clear and bright, deep ruby colour. The nose is clean and developing, showing medium intensity aromas of red cherries, red plums, liquorice, anise and cedar.
It's dry in the mouth with a medium acidity, high coarse tannins, high warm alcohol, full body and medium intensity flavours of red cherries, liquorice, anise, lavender and cedar.

4/5

Priorat is a good area to purchase wine. I tried it on a wine tasting of Cabernet Sauvignon wines.
An intense red colour. Strong strawberries aromas. A slightly bitter end.

4/5

It was served at a wedding.
Thin cherry red colour. Hints of raspberry. One of the softer wines of Priorat.
With the right pairing the wine tasted really good.
