Noble. That is how we could define Clos Mogador 2016, a Priorat wine that stays faithful to the terroir and that with every vintage it gives us its best. It is a warm and smooth wine, where the abundance of berries is overlapped with coffee, relish and spices, that armonize with subtle and well balanced tannins. It is a complex wine, rich in expressions, a great example of a Priorat wine.

Beautiful cherry ripe cherry with reflections aubergine. A red wine very high, deep and bright. It has abundant tear, dense and slow.

It is an intense, fragrant and complex nose showing an evolution in spectacular glass. Entrance, shows abundant aromas of fleshy, concentrated black fruit that gives way to floral and spicy notes. A nose to give it time.

Actually, we have little to say about the iconic winemaker René Barbier. His Clos Mogador is possibly the most famous Priorat wines. It is a biological full deep red wine, and belongs to the absolute top of the Priorat. The Clos Mogador is full of black ripe fruit, herbs, minerals, coffee, truffles, lovely tannins and a very impressive finish. The Clos Mogador consists of the grape varieties Grenache (40%), Syrah (20%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%) and -since 1996- Carignan (20%). The grapes are picked spread over a period of two months, because they do not all ripen at the same time. Clos Mogador should in our opinion not lacking in a nice wine collection.

One of the myths of the Priory. A wine that surprises in each of its vintages and leaves no one indifferent. The richness and aroma and flavor variety is so wide that is complex to fix in a few lines. An experience worth living.

- TEMPERATURE: 15º to 17ºC
- PAIRING: It combines perfectly with game meats and pen, casseroles, stews, sauces complex meats, roasts in the oven.
