Camins del Priorat is one of our absolute favorites. The wine is produced by Alvaro Palacios in the Priorat, northwest of Tarrogona in Catalonia. This relatively small wine region is located just below, the general public more familiar, region of Penedès, between Barcelona and Tarragona. The wine has a clear, dark red color, aromatic nose with undertones of red berries and spices. Silky texture with a hint of raspberry. Long finish. Parker wrote in his review of the Camins del Priorat: "Very good wine at a very good price" & "A superb introduction to Priorat could be the Camins del Priorat" Every year a great wine according to Decanter best winemaker Alvaro Palacios.

Black plum colour in the glass. At the nose rich aromas of licorice, currants and star anise.
In the mouth it's supple and velvety on the attack, the wine offers a gorgeous ripe blueberry, fig, and blackcurrant fruit accented by notes of dark roasted coffee beans and bakers chocolate. Fine, buffered tannins emerge on the wines back-palate and segue it to a long, spicy, licorice-tinged finish.

Visually, it is a brilliant and flawless wine. It is an elegant wine and care, where mature red fruits predominate over some floral and fruity sensations. It seems a very elegant wine aromatically speaking. Plus I love its delicate white label with a subtle pink.
