2 Pi R Gratavinum 2014 (Cabernet Sauvignon, Cariñena, Garnacha and Syrah)

TASTING NOTES OF 2 Pi R Gratavinum 2014:

  • View: yellow with good intensity.
  • Nose: fragrant aroma, mandarin, grapefruit, white peach, memories of flowers and sage.
  • Mouth: fresh, sweet and pleasantly aromatic.

APPELLATION: Moscato D'Asti.

GRAPES: Moscatel.

PREPARATION: stripping, crushing grapes, cryo-maceration process at controlled temperature for 12 hours. Cold fermentation in stainless steel tanks.

PAIRING: aged cheeses, cold cuts and appetizer.

Deep purple with ruby tinges. Aromatic intensity and complexity with explicit presence of preserved red fruit well balanced with the touch of toasty notes from the oak. The entry is soft, but it changes showing unpolished ripen tannins together with good volume and acidity. Fruity notes with a mineral character at the end of the mouth. Long and fresh aftertaste.

Very dark Bordeaux colour. Toasty and tobacco aromas.It has a very mild and pleasant flavour.
Priorat is a good area to purchase wine.
In a tasting course we had the pleasure to try.
