Smooth, velvety texture, softened by the warmth of the Primitivo grapes; the finish offers notes of persistent sweetness.South of Brindisi lays the Salento peninsula that extends towards Albania and the Greek mainland and is Italy s easternmost point. The finest wines are produced in the Salento peninsula where the soil is rich brown on a calcareous base. Though the climate is hot it is not torrid, thanks to the cooling influence of breezes coming off the Adriatic and Ionian seas.Cantine San Marzano was established in 1962 by a group of wine lovers whose ancestors had farmed the land for generations.
