Joseph Drouhin Pouilly Vinzelles 2016 (Chardonnay)
- View: pale yellow, many reflections of bright green.
- Nose: intense and persistent fragrance, peach and white flowers in harmony.
- Mouth: ample, fresh, intense, notes of ripe grapes, almonds, hazelnuts and cinnamon, elegant wine with good structure.
APPELLATION: Pouilly Vinzelles.
VINEYARD: vineyards spread across the southern Burgundy in the Mâconnais region, 10 km southwest of Mâcon.
AGEING: aged between 6 and 8 months partly in stainless steel vats and partly in oak barrels.
PREPARATION: pressed very slow to respect fruit juices last pressings are not saved.
PAIRING: with prawns.
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 13%
How to serve
With its 73 hectares (182.5 acres), the Joseph Drouhin Domaine is one of the largest estates in the region. It owns vineyards in all of Burgundy: Chablis (38 hectares - 95 acres), Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, (32 hectares - 80 acres), Côte Chalonnaise (3 hectares - 7.5 acres). It is comprised of a majority of Premier and Grand Crus, planted with the two Burgundian grape varietals, pinot noir and chardonnay.More about the Winery
