Not to be confused with Pouilly Fumé, the Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire. The Pouilly Fuisse comes from the south of Burgundy and is a varietal Chardonnay. Fermented to a part in barriques he presents elegant, minerally, with delicate enamel and reaches so easily approached the great wines of the Côte de Beaune! The wine comes from grapes of Fuissé, Pouilly, Solutré Vergisson and ChaintrÃ. In modern presses, the grapes are pressed and fermented in temperature controlled. In order to gain harmony and abundance, a part of the wine is already fermented in small oak barrels made from French oak.

- One of the most famous white wines in the world and one for which Louis Jadot is justifiably famous; a lovely rich wine that shows the true delights of Chardonnay, soft and elegant with a rich mouth feel, delicate use of oak and good acid balance

TASTING NOTES:View: Light golden colour with emerald tonesNose: Initially floral and melon scent with crisper notes of lemon and green apple - Mouth: This Chardonnay is an elegant medium-bodied white wine with a good acid balance, an exemplary expression of grapes from the Burgundy region. The taste is complex but harmonious and fresh, with notes of hazelnuts, toasted almonds, and bready fruit.APPELLATION:VINEYARD: Grown in Louis Jadot's Pouilly-Fuissé, a vineyard in the Mâconnais region of Burgundy in central France.GRAPES: ChardonnayAGEING: The grapes are gently pressed and then fermented in new and old French oak barrels. The use of new oak is judicious in order to ensure a subtle but not overpowering oakey essence. The ageing lasts about 15 months on fine dregs before preparation for bottling.PREPARATION: The House of Louis Jadot has been producing outstanding Burgundy wines for 150 years, since its founding in 1859. The producers adopt a minimal interventionist philosophy to allow the wines from this historic region to speak for themselves. The grapes are carefully harvested by hand in small batches to preserve the integrity of the fruit.PAIRING: Poultry, shellfish, pasta with cream sauces, and vegetarian cuisineRIGHT SERVING RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 9-12ºCALCOHOL: 13%

Louis Jadot Pouilly Fuisse 2017

I drank with my best friend.
It seemed a light golden yellow colour . Good on nose with a predominance of jasmine. Very light and pleasent wine in the mouth.
I'd like to try it with a carpaccio.
