TASTING NOTES:View: Light golden colour with emerald tonesNose: Initially floral and melon scent with crisper notes of lemon and green apple - Mouth: This Chardonnay is an elegant medium-bodied white wine with a good acid balance, an exemplary expression of grapes from the Burgundy region. The taste is complex but harmonious and fresh, with notes of hazelnuts, toasted almonds, and bready fruit.APPELLATION:VINEYARD: Grown in Louis Jadot's Pouilly-Fuissé, a vineyard in the Mâconnais region of Burgundy in central France.GRAPES: ChardonnayAGEING: The grapes are gently pressed and then fermented in new and old French oak barrels. The use of new oak is judicious in order to ensure a subtle but not overpowering oakey essence. The ageing lasts about 15 months on fine dregs before preparation for bottling.PREPARATION: The House of Louis Jadot has been producing outstanding Burgundy wines for 150 years, since its founding in 1859. The producers adopt a minimal interventionist philosophy to allow the wines from this historic region to speak for themselves. I drank with my best friend.
It seemed a light golden yellow colour . Good on nose with a predominance of jasmine. Very light and pleasent wine in the mouth.
I'd like to try it with a carpaccio.
