TASTING NOTES:

  • Nose: nutty aroma and delicate raisins.

APPELLATION: Oporto.

GRAPES: Malvasia Fina, Rabigato, Verdelho, Gouveio.

AGEING: after fortification with grape brandy, wine aged for years in oak barrels and vats.

PREPARATION: fermented white grapes with a long maceration of the skin, foot treading winepresses, to give structure to the wine.

PAIRING: as an appetizer and dessert.

RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 10 °C as a starter. as port wine after dinner at 14-18ºC

A beautiful colour. Fresh grapes.
This fortified would have been better with a softer meat.
I tried it with some friends at a wine tasting event.
I always ask for it when going to the restaurant.
Let it breathe for some minutes before drinking it.
