TASTING NOTES OF Niepoort Crusted:

  • View: bright red, brick red border.
  • Nose: fine aroma of black berries and dark chocolate.
  • Mouth: multiple layers of figs, spices, prunes, cloves, cinnamon, orange peel and nuts.

APPELLATION: Porto.

GRAPES: Tinto Cao, Touriga Francesa, Touriga Nacional.

WINE PAIRING: desserts chocolate, especially dark chocolate. Cheddar, Gouda and Brie cheese, spicy dishes with red meats, game, lamb or beef.

Niepoort Crusted Douro

The Niepoort Crusted Douro is a familiar wine of Niepoort.
Nice colour. Strong flavour like strawberry candy.
This Port entertained us while waiting for food.

Niepoort Porto Crusted

It had a very shutdown colour. Very good acidity of this Douro.
I do not recommend taking this fortified of Niepoort with meat.
I can't imagine drinking this Niepoort Porto Crusted solo.
