According to reports, port wine was invented by monks in the monasteries of the Douro Valley. They added grape spirit to the young wine to preserve its sweetness. In the 17th century, two wine merchants discovered the unique production of wine. They decided to use the method also for their wines to preserve the wines for the journey back to England. Nowadays, port wine is world-famous for its special production.
The Graham's Vintage 2011 of the winery Graham's is a very sweet port wine that goes best with desserts.

It had a deep colour at first sight. Fleshy and a chocolate coulant taste.
The best of Symington Family Estates as an end to the meal.
