Ferreira Dona Antonia Reserva , produced by the Carlos Ferreira winery in Portugal, was rated 92 points by the prestigious publication Wine Spectator. This is a coupage of six grape varietals which blend perfectly to give rise to an exquisite wine, rich in contrasts.

In the production of Ferreira Dona Antonia Reserva , the traditional method of Oporto wines is used. In this method, the fermentation is interrupted at a time chosen by the winemaker, in order to add a quantity of wine liqueur that is able to preserve the fruits' sweetness. Finally, wines of different ages (from 4 to 12 years old) are mixed, and the product of this mixture is what receives the name Ferreira Dona Antonia Reserva .

Tasting Notes:

Ferreira Dona Antonia has a beautiful red colour with tile shades that return to its slow maturation in wood. Its bouquet is intense and rich with ripe fruit notes (apricot, peach and marmalade) and floral notes. Complex, spicy and dry their fruit notes derived from oak oxidative evolution, which make it a full-bodied wine with aromas, extremely well balanced, combining elegance with a delicate, lingering finish.
