  • View: Calem Velhotes Tawny has a warm amber hue.
  • Nose: An alluring balance of honeyed, jammy fruit and nutty wood aromas.
  • Mouth: Structured and silky, with an intense, fresh, and ripe fruitiness and a note of vanilla.

APPELLATION: Port

VINEYARD: Porto Cálem. There has been a deep bond between this producer, the city of Porto, and the Douro Valley since 1859, resulting in quality fine and fortified wines.

GRAPES: Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Tinto Cão and Touriga Franca.

AGEING: A minimum of 3 years in stainless steel vats and oak casks.

PREPARATION: The secret of the excellence of Calem Velhotes Tawny lies in the careful blending of excellent wines from different harvests, and frequent churning during fermentation.

Try it with a beef-centred starter like Caprese Steak. Or sip it alongside a creamy or fruity dessert such as Apple and Ginger Crumble with Vanilla Custard. You can even reach for Calem Velhotes Tawny to create tastier dishes, like Beef Stew with Port and Porcini, or Beef Fillet with Port Sauce and Chips.
