This 2013 vintage is revealed in the continuity of Taillefer, namely soft and silky. It offers beautiful notes of black fruits such as blackcurrants. Featuring a beautiful mature at this stage of breeding, he has a lot of freshness and will be enjoyed young.

First vineyard acquired by the Moueix family, Château Taillefer is still part of the family, run by children of Bernard Moueix.
The 12 hectares of Château Taillefer stretch of sandy-gravelly soil, on the southern slope of the Pomerol plateau for optimal exposure. The planting of the area consists of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc.
The wines are aged for 12 to 15 months in oak barrels (30% new).

This red tastes smoky. I noticed a licorice flavour.
A red Pomerol quite recommendable.
