We purchased in Château Beauregard.
A really tasteful wine of red ruby colour . Smell like nuts, like it. Caramel flavour.

This vintage 2013 this lovely notes of blackberries and black cherries, sprinkled with a light veil empyreumatic. It has a silky texture and a nice velvety.

The Château Beauregard was built in 1795 by one of the pupils of the great Victor Louis who built the Grand Theater of Bordeaux. Its origin is, however, from the eleventh century with its creation by the Knights of Malta. The harmony and serenity that emerge from all seduced in the 30s an American architect who was charged by the Guggenheim family to reproduce a copy to Port Washington peninsula of Long Island.

Its recent acquisition, however, breathed new life through significant investment in the winery and the vineyard to raise this Pomerol at the greatest.

The name is the smallest of the great Bordeaux just 750ha of vines. The exceptional terroir Chateau Beauregard sees flourish Merlot, grape variety in the region, but also Cabernet Franc who soon represent 30% of the surface of the property.

The winemaking teams strive to find the balance and finesse of their wines.
They consider that the wine must be the expression of its terroir and does not have to adapt to current trends. Beauregard today is a reflection of its terroir: clay-gravel plateau edge and sandy gravel on the south slope of the plateau.

The 2009 vintage has a beautiful deep purple dress.
The nose evokes a beautiful ripeness and suggests a pleasant mouth.
On the palate, we find silky tannins that support slightly candied aromas of black fruits.

I liked its toasted aromas. As many 2016, it was a little rough.
A different wine.
