Château Smith Haut Lafitte 2014
The first nose is rather discreet, very black, wild ripe, blackcurrant, then to the agitation it is completely discovered and offers a power mixing black fruits, red fruits, spices, pepper, licorice, Delicate notes of flint..
The mouth is taut and round thanks to a great acidity balanced by a remarkable concentration and a good tannic structure
The wine is structured, dense, rich, while tension and energy
The aroma of the mouth is very close to that of the nose with cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry, licorice, zan, cinnamon and a great minerality of rifle stone.

It will fit in perfectly with veal chops with tarragon and cream.
Dating back to the fourteenth century, the Château Smith Haut Lafitte has had many famous owners such as Scottish George Smith, Mr Duffour Debergier then-Mayor of Bordeaux in 1842, the Louis Eschenauer. . . Since 1990, Daniel Cathiard takes possession of this magnificent castle and land. Former ski champion, he had developed in less than 20 years, the small family supermarket business in a matter of 15 hypermarkets and 300 supermarkets. He also created the chain Go Sport stores. His wife, Florence, was Vice President of McCann Europe group (A large company advertising and marketing) prior to redemption. They sold their different business to redeem the Château Smith Haut Lafitte.
They carried out are gigantic works, both in farm buildings in the monastery of the eighteenth century, with the sole purpose of raising large white and red wines. The underground cellars are sublime and the tasting room is magical when the floor opens to reveal a secret staircase leading to a cellar full of old vintages of Smith Haut Lafitte. The many contemporary art structures make visiting these unforgettable places.

Reviews about Château Smith Haut Lafitte 2013
Red towards reddish brown. This Château Smith Haut Lafitte smells like violets. Unfortunately tasted vinegary.
A 2013 goes fine with snacks.
