Archetype of the Château Smith Haut Lafitte wines, Château Smith Haut Lafitte 2007 is an expressive wine that, one opened, gives a wide range of scents that includes red fruits and spices such as anise, relish and cinnamon; in mouth, it turns into a fresh, balanced and unctuous wine. Everything thanks to the superb terroir from where the grapes come for their making, a land that has deep roots and that is worked on in a traditional and natural fashion. A whole classic from its land.

There is in this Grand Cru everything that makes the beauty of Pessac Léognan: power, concentration, depth and richness.
The Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte covers an area of 67 hectares planted with about 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc and Merlot and recently qulques keys of Petit Verdot. The castle offers 11 hectares of white. The tannins are silky, elegant, structured and well balanced.

I drank with work colleagues.
Highlights the straw yellow color. Honeyed aromas. Delicious, tasty, liked it.
Good wine, even when taken alone.
