This beautiful property is nestling in a green setting - 100 year old oak trees, pin trees, meadow - some kilometers away from the center of Bordeaux, you can discover the domain of 220 hectars of the Château Olivier.
One vineyard of 48 hectars deep-rooted within his terroir.
Built in the 12th century, this Castle has been inhabited by the black prince in 1350.
In 1663 Marie Lasserre has brought the Château as dowry, when she married the well known writer Montesquieu. Jean-Jacques de Bethmann and his wife Reine Claude give this historic place it's authenticity and a charm of great wines.

It's an assembley of the weak fertility of his terroir and the early climat in the different grape varieties , that will arrive to an optimal maturity; a very important factor to make great wine with good aging capacity.

Grace to the different climatic conditions the vintage 2010 will be different to the vintage 2009. It owns the best characteristic of the greatest vintages produced by Château Olivier.
The red wines are pairing freshness and structure.

This 2013 will be able to overcome the difficulties vintage deemed sensitive. Beautiful garnet color. The nose is very expressive with fresh fruit aromas and blackcurrant but also toasted notes and mocha. The palate is soft and fleshy, with aromas of ripe red fruit. The tannins are melted. Beautiful elegance and beautiful smoke length. Drink or keep: 2018 - 2028
