This 2013 will be able to overcome the difficulties vintage deemed sensitive. Beautiful garnet color. The nose is very expressive with fresh fruit aromas and blackcurrant but also toasted notes and mocha. The palate is soft and fleshy, with aromas of ripe red fruit. The tannins are melted. Beautiful elegance and beautiful smoke length. Drink or keep: 2018 - 2028

Former hunting landmark of the famous Black Prince, the Château Olivier was known as lordship in the Middle Ages. Since the 1800s, the property belongs to an old Bordeaux family, Bethmann. Recent work and investments in the vineyard are huge and have contributed to the production of quality wine.
The 50 hectares of estate vineyards extend between forest and meadows. The planting of red vines is composed of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot 48% and 2% Merlot.
The wines are aged in oak barrels (35% new) for 12 months.
This 2012 will be able to overcome the difficulties vintage deemed sensitive. It will be predominantly of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), which gives it delicacy and exceptional refinement. A beautiful mature for this year, supported by aromas of red fruits appreciable, married to licorice and spice.
