Classified growth since 1953, The Latour Martillac Estate got its name from the Tower gracing the main courtyard, vestige of a small fort built in Martillac in the 12th century by the forefathers of the famous philosopher and vine grower Montesquieu.

The 45 hectares of this Pessac Léognan span of Pyrenean gravel. The grape varieties of red is composed of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot.
The wines are aged in barrels (30% new) for 18 months, with the guidance of Denis Dubourdieu and using Valérie Vialard.
This 2012 vintage is expressed in tenderness and elegance. His notes somewhat empyreumatic, dotted with black fruits seduce your palate.
