Gran Viña Sol 2016

The Gran Viña Sol has a typical Chardonnay character with aromas of fresh apples, citrus fruit and ripe pears, combined with light notes of spring flowers. A delicate touch of French oak strengthens balanced, powerful structure. The palate is soft, velvety and round. The small proportion of local Parellada grape gives the Gran Viña Sol a surprising freshness.

Miguel Torres Gran Viña Sol Chardonnay 2016

I bought it here in Uvinum.
Almost no colour, such a light yellow. It has aromas of honey. A young and cool white.

Bodegas Torres Gran Vina Sol Chardonnay 2016

Over 40 years ago, Familia Torres began adapting international varieties to the local climate. Today the intensity of Torres Mediterranean Chardonnay reflects the innovative character and success of that decision. An elegant wine partially aged in oak.

Tasting notes and food pairing Producer: Bodegas Miguel Torres Comments: Gran Viña Sol pioneered the development of barrel fermented chardonnay in Spain. His name should not deceive us because it is a wine of the traditional Crianza Viña Sol comlejidad and greater presence: Brief aging in French oak. Tasting Notes: Thanks to the presence of the Chardonnay, a wine of great aromatic, full and with a profusion of flowery notes over a fruity background (very ripe peaches) and fennel intensity. On the palate, the wine has a long evolution is complex and silky with an elegant fullness. At the end some hints of vanilla, attest to its short aging in French oak. Food pairing: ideal to take with fresh cheeses, fish freshwater or saltwater, seafood, seafood paella and even chicken and turkey wine. Serve at 11º C.
