This Gérard Bertrand Gris Blanc Pays d'Oc 2018 reveals a very light, almost transparent bouquet of pink to raspberry and aromatic fresh strawberries, finely garnished with a hint of herbaceous spices. On the palate, it is fresh and fruity, very elegant, with delicate blows on the tongue and a fine, fresh acidity at the end of the tasting. The Grenache Gris is hand-picked, brought to the cellar and pressed immediately. The musts are fermented at a low temperature of 15 to 18°C and the wines are matured for a few weeks on the lees. Gérard Bertrand Gris Blanc Pays d'Oc 2018 (Grenache, Grenache Gris and Rosé)

TASTING NOTE:

  • View: very pale pink, shades of gray and white.
  • Nose: aromas of small red fruits.
  • Palate: fresh, fruity, elegant, fresh note, mineral, spicy, light, aromas of cherry, notes of fresh fig, cocoa, with roundness.

DESIGNATION OF ORIGIN: Pays d'Oc.

GRAPES: Grenache and Grey Grenache.

AGEING: Matured for several weeks on fine lees with weekly pumping.

WINEMAKING: hand picking followed immediately by gentle pressing. Must transfer under a protective atmosphere of carbon dioxide gas, before fermentation. Fermentation at low temperatures, between 15 ° and 18 ° C, in stainless steel tanks.

Gris Blanc Gérard Bertrand Rosé 2018

I drank it with my ex.
A pale 2018. I noticed a smell of red berries. Distinctive oxidation notes on the palate.
It wasn't well paired with food, but the wine was good and tasty.
